A New Lesson from Karbala: Learning How to Revive the Arbaeen Commemoration of Imam Hussain (AS)
As we join the million-strong march, we learn another lesson from Karbala - one that teaches us not only how to properly observe Imam Hussain's (AS) Arbaeen rituals but also provides a methodology for refining the behavior of our Hussaini community.
The Holy Al-Kadhimiya Shrine has established a Religious Guidance and Counseling Tent along the walking route between Najaf Ashraf and Holy Karbala. Servants of the two Jawad Imams (AS) from the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department conduct numerous activities, including:
-
A campaign to correct the recitation of Surah Al-Fatiha
-
Answering practical jurisprudential questions
-
Promoting proper ablution (wudu) practices
-
Providing an educational library for Arbaeen pilgrims
These efforts are accompanied by large screens displaying religious guidance from the Holy Shrine. This blessed initiative represents the finest form of loyalty - guiding followers and providing them with spiritual, intellectual, and cultural nourishment from the legacy of the Imams of Guidance (AS).
The project has witnessed tremendous turnout from honorable pilgrims heading to the city of Aba al-Ahrar, Imam Hussain (AS).
