The Arbaeen march has begun, as pilgrims set out on foot from the Ras al-Bisheh area in the far south of Iraq, heading toward the holy city of Karbala.
This annual pilgrimage is considered one of the largest human gatherings in the world, with millions walking long distances to commemorate the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).
