During his visit to the Tamarchin border crossing on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, Naser Rezaei stated:
“The necessary infrastructure has been provided for the movement of Arbaeen pilgrims at the Tamarchin crossing, and there are no issues in this regard.”
He added:
“This visit was aimed at examining the challenges and needs related to the pilgrims’ movement, with the goal of offering the best possible service during this year’s Arbaeen pilgrimage. This station is now fully equipped to handle the flow of Arbaeen pilgrims.”
Rezaei further stated:
“A total of 36 exit gates have been set up on the Iranian side and 45 gates on the Iraqi side, allowing Arbaeen pilgrims to cross the border smoothly and in less than five minutes.”
The Director General of Inspection, Performance Management, and Citizens’ Rights at the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development emphasized:
“We will make every effort to provide the highest quality service to Arbaeen pilgrims and will utilize all available legal means to ensure their needs are met in the best possible way.”
