Iraqi volunteer-run moukebs (service stations) have started serving Arbaeen pilgrims along the roads to Karbala, offering essentials like food, water, rest, and medical support for pilgrims walking to the shrine. These service points span the routes used by pilgrims who begin their journey approximately two weeks before Arbaeen (falling on August 14), staffed by local and Iranian volunteers and supported by heightened security to protect the millions en route.
