The Iranian children’s play “First Game”, directed and designed by Meysam Yousofi, is being performed during the 9th Arbaeen Pilgrimage International Theater Festival along street routes in Najaf and Karbala. Originally written in 2005 and first staged in 2011, the play dramatizes themes of resistance and sacrifice and remains a moving, cultural expression for children and pilgrims walking the spiritual path of Arbaeen.
