On the day of Arbaeen, hearts beat with the name
of Imam Hussein (A.S.), and the streets glow with love and loyalty to a
martyrdom that never dies. As in every year, the city of Dearborn, witnessed
the commemoration of the Arbaeen of Imam Hussein (A.S.), where large crowds
from the Islamic community gathered to take part in the grand Ashura march that
filled the city’s streets, echoing the resounding call: “Labbayka Ya Hussein”.
The neighborhoods were adorned with black flags and banners embodying the memory
of Karbala and its sacrifices.
The march began in front of the Karbala Islamic Center and concluded at Ford
Woods Park, with a massive turnout of men, women, and children of all ages — a
powerful scene of devotion and steadfastness. The Dearborn Police accompanied
the procession to ensure its safety and smooth flow.
Along the route, mawakib (hospitality tents) offered food and drinks to the
participants as an expression of love and loyalty to Imam Hussein (A.S.). The
march also featured latmiyat , Hussaini slogans, and speeches, all reaffirming
the sanctity of this occasion and its everlasting humanitarian message.
